As a UK specialist Registered Dietitian (RD) Beth is able to offer successful experience and up to date knowledge of current dietetic practice.
Beth is a Dietitian; she works alongside her clients to lead them towards their dietary goals, whatever they may be.
Her specialties are Weight Management, Eating Disorders and Sports Nutrition. She also has experience in a wide range of diet related health issues, listed below.
Beth has worked freelance providing weight loss solutions for clients for several years, motivating both men and women of all ages to achieve their weight loss goals. She works with clients to make lifestyle and dietary changes that work for each individual, and ensures that they lose the weight in a realistic achievable time frame. Beth also helps to identify the psychological triggers (where necessary) which have contributed to their weight gain and offers practical dietary solutions to overcome them. Most importantly Beth works with Clients to ensure that they keep the weight off long term. Beth provides clients with scientific reasoning behind her advice, and tailors meal plans to each individual to facilitate weight loss. She has helped many clients transform their lives this way (see testimonials tab).
Beth has worked in the field of Eating Disorders for 17 years. She has gained specialist knowledge and dietetic expertise through both working in the NHS and freelance. Beth has worked with patients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Orthorexia and ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Beth has worked on Specialist Eating Disorder Units dealing with Naso-Gastric Tube fed patients, managing re-feeding syndrome, monitoring the risks around this and supporting patients to restore weight in a safe and manageable way, both physically and psychologically. Beth also supports patients in the community to weight restore safely, helping people to learn to trust food again, working through the psychological complexities this entails. She also works closely with families and carers, enabling them to best support their loved ones who are managing - and trying to recover from - an eating disorder.
Beth has a specialist interest in sports nutrition due to her own passion for sport (she is a keen runner and has completed several marathons) she has undertaken training around sports nutrition and reads up all on the latest evidence around it, in her spare time. Beth is able to offer advice around fuelling exercise appropriately for optimum performance; whether this is for short bursts of activity, middle distances or ultra-marathoners. Beth provides tailored sports nutrition advice including when and how to fuel, providing individual specific macro, micronutrient and fluid requirements, advising on what to eat/drink and when.
